DJ Emily

We are very happy to announce that Emily Luk from Hong Kong will be DJing the Grand Milonga at Javier & Andrea's workshop.  Emily is an outstanding DJ because of her deep passion and exquisite taste in the music.  She runs her own milonga in Hong Kong and she was invited to DJ at the Taipei Tango Festival in 2006.  To find out more about Emily please see the bio below.

Emily Luk, tango dj and milonga organizer in Hong Kong, promotes milonga culture and tango music in local tango community. Her philosophy of djing is to draw as many people as possible to the dance floor, make them enjoy all the tandas, and to introduce to the dancers the most beautiful music that she can discover. She always has a fantasy that one day tango musicians like Di sarli would talk to her in her dream, "I always wished someone would play this piece since this is my favorite and eventually you played it last night!" She never have a fixed set of tanda and aims at giving surprise to dancers each time while giving full respect to the traditional way of djing in BsAs.

Her milonga in Hong Kong, is the only milonga in local community which emphasize quality music and rules of tanda/cortina.
